The person behind the work

I graduated with a theater degree and no job. I waited tables, worked day jobs, and didn't get a car until I was 25. Getting to a tech event meant walking and taking the bus for an hour. I went anyway.

In 2015 I worked a tech conference and started a bootcamp the next week. I failed out. I was told tech wasn't for me, and to try something else.

I bought a laptop on eBay for $200 and taught myself through freeCodeCamp and YouTube. I didn't make an excuse. I got back up and tried again. I've been in tech since then.

I build the rooms I used to take the bus to get to: Bmore Tech Nights and Baltimore Tech Week.
